
Watford FC rebrand
Watford FC were looking for a rebrand to realign them closer to their nickname, The Hornets. For my submission, I focused on the thorax shape and patterns of a Hornet, which gave me the basis for my design. The badge had to be designed as both a full crest and a simplified version for other commercial uses. I also reintroduced the red ball icon which was a part of the Watford crest in the 1950’s.
My submission was fortunate enough to be among the shortlisted designs, however after a vote by the Watford FC fans the decision was taken to stick with the current club crest.
